Bargain hunters can shop until they drop Thursday through Saturday during the 14th annual Buy-Way Yard Sale.
Ohio's longest yard sale features vendors all along the Lincoln Highway corridor, coined the "the Main Street Across America."
"This started with only about 250 sales across the state, which has grown to over 1,300 sales from the Indiana line in the west to East Liverpool at the eastern end of the road in Ohio," said Brian Cassler, marketing director for Ohio’s historic Lincoln Highway. "With multiple vendors at many sale locations, there’s something for everyone to find out there."
You can pick up this year’s official Travelers Guide brochures along the Lincoln Highway at the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce; stores including Antiques on Main, Downtown Perk, Bellstores on U.S. 250, Home Hardware, Buehler’s Fresh Foods and more; and hotels, including Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn and Super 8.
The guide shows the path of the Lincoln Highway in relation to today’s U.S. 30, making it easier for shoppers who are unfamiliar with the area to find the sales on the original road.
The Lincoln Highway was the country's first transcontinental road, built in 1913 to encourage good roads for all.
"Ohio’s Lincoln Highway was re-aligned several times," Cassler said. "Even though Ohio is only 241 miles across, there are over 400 miles of Lincoln Highway alignments available on which to shop. An avid yard saler can easily spend all three days on the Lincoln, shopping from dawn 'til dusk."
Sellers who would like to host a yard sale can list their sale on the byway’s website for a fee through PayPal and can upload pictures and details of their location, business hours and sale items.

If you need a break from shopping Saturday, you can zoom over to the 12th Annual Lincoln Highway Car Show at UH Samaritan on Main, sponsored by the Ashland Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
This show, held in conjunction with the Buy-Way, runs from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Car show participants will vote on their favorite cars from four classes — car, rod, truck and Chevrolet trucks — and the awards ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m.
Awards will include: one best of each class, one best of show and four plaques for each class.
A disc jockey will provide entertainment throughout the event, and food is available for purchase.
