• Police arrested a North Canton girl, 16, at an East Maple Street location on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by way of being habitually disobedient. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and her grandmother was notified of the charge.

• A dispatcher received a tip from an anonymous caller who reported that a student at North Canton Middle School threatened to bring a gun to school following a dispute with another student. Police spoke to a teacher who said she had advised the tipster to call police. After an investigation and speaking to one of the students involved, police did not file any charges and were advised that no such threats had been made.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 34, at a Cleveland Avenue location on a charge of violating a consent agreement. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Massillon woman, 29, reported that an unknown suspect broke out a window in her vehicle and stole several items from inside, including a purse with her wallet inside. The total value of the stolen items was $375 and an investigation is pending.

• A North Canton boy, 14, was arrested at a 7th Street location on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by way of being habitually disobedient. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released to his mother at the scene.

• Police arrested a North Canton man near the intersection of Everhard Road and Wilkshire Circle on a charge of driving under a restricted license and having an open container of alcohol inside a vehicle. The suspect was initially stopped for a traffic violation and was cited after an officer discovered the bottle of alcohol inside the vehicle.

• A North Canton police officer reported that his departmental ID card, which was inside his wallet, was missing. The officer reported searching for the wallet, which included his driver’s license and debit card, for nearly a month before locating it inside his home.

• Officers responded to a call from an administrator at North Canton Middle School regarding a possible threat against the school. After investigation, it was determined that the report came from a student who claimed to have heard a fellow student make the threats several weeks earlier at an athletic practice, but no evidence of any threats was found.

• Police arrested a North Canton woman at a Fair Oaks Avenue residence on a charge of disorderly conduct. The individual attempted suicide and yelled that she wanted to die, then refused to comply with lawful orders from officers and was taken into custody and transported to a local medical facility for observation.

• Police were notified by the Ohio State Highway Patrol regarding a threat about a possible shooting at Hoover High School from two years ago. An anonymous caller reported having heard a rumor from two years ago that a student wanted to “shoot up” the school, but after speaking with the student, police found no evidence that any such threats had ever been made.

• Police arrested an East Canton woman, 46, at a North Main Street residence on a charge of possession of drug abuse instruments and also on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was taken into custody and released to a sheriff’s deputy at the scene.

• An officer conducting a traffic stop in the 900 block of South Main Street was approached by an individual who reported an argument between a man and woman in a nearby parking lot. The officer found a man had pulled his vehicle directly behind that of a female, 31, who reported leaving a home after the man became angry and began throwing her belongings onto the porch. After speaking with the officer, she returned to the home to collect a few possessions and left to spend the night at another location.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 24, at a South Main Street location on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• A Canton man, 31, was arrested at a Bachtel Street residence on charges of trafficking in drugs preparing to distribute, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.
