NORTH CANTON  She’s been a spark plug for the Hoover softball lineup throughout her varsity career and now, senior Kaitlyn Yun is slated to do the same for the Ohio Bobcats.

Yun, a three-year letterwinner who has made her mark for the Vikings since she was a freshman, officially signed her National Letter of Intent with OU on signing day, finalizing a commitment she previously made to the Bobcats.

A career .470 hitter, Yun has made the All-Federal League first team each of her three season at the high school level and was named to the All-District first team as a sophomore and junior. As a junior, she also made the All-Stark County first team and was named the county Player of the Year last season.

She was also a key member of the 2014 Hoover team that was the last to win a state title. Before beginning her OU career next fall, Yun will return to the diamond for the Vikings this spring as they pursue another league title and attempt to return to the top of Division I with another state title.
