The public is invited on Tuesday evenings in November for a fun night of dancing as the Cambridge Social Dance Club will offer Cha Cha dance lessons. The Cha Cha is one of the most popular Latin American dances that is lively and energetic which makes it a lot of fun to dance.
Lessons will be taught from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and include time for practicing. Beginners are welcome. Dancers are always given an opportunity to ask the instructors questions and to request advice on techniques.
Lessons are given at Mr. Lee’s Restaurant banquet room located behind the restaurant on the lower level. The address is 2000 E. Wheeling Ave., Cambridge.
During the lessons, dancers are given the opportunity to rent items from the club’s library, which consists of popular ballroom dance music, VHS tapes, DVD’s and instructional and how-to books. Members are also permitted to check items out of the library so they may practice at home as well.
The cost for lessons is $13 weekly per couple for members, $15 weekly per couple for non-members. Students are $6 per couple. Annual membership is $25 per couple. The first lesson is free for those who have never been to lessons before.
