Taste of Ravenna is an event that was created to broaden the awareness of what Ravenna has to offer.

It took place downtown and included about 40 businesses with a fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt throughout the city and tastings at all participating merchants. There was entertainment and bounce houses on the courthouse lawn.

Sponsors included the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chestnut Grove Arts District, Ravenna 7 Movies, Performance Elastomers, Hummel Construction, and Brimfield Insurance and Grange.

The event featured music by Steve Cipriano and the Akron Symphonic Winds, Yoga by Moksha Yoga & Meditation, and zumba with the Ravenna Athletic Center.

"Taste of Ravenna was an event I had dreamed of doing since two months after I started at the Chamber," said executive director Ryann Kuchenbecker.

"Ravenna has so many hidden treasures and my goal was to uncover and gain awareness to the Ravenna community as a whole," she said.

Special thanks went to Ravenna Parks and Recreation, Longmeadow, Brookdale, Senior Center, Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority for the use of the old Triangle Pharmacy, Fox 8 New Day Cleveland, Print & Sign Express, The Mini Mall, The Air Force National Guard and all of the businesses that participated.
