• Police arrested a Browning Avenue boy, 17, at Hoover High School on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by way of truancy. The suspect’s mother was notified of the charges.

• An Arnesby Circle man, 59, reported that an unknown suspect placed an online order using his credit card information. The card was used to make a purchase on eBay. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 25, at a South Main Street residence on charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on the scene with a summons to appear in Canton Municipal Court.

• A Beechmoor Drive boy, 13, was arrested at a Fair Oaks location on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and juvenile cigarette or tobacco product violations. The suspect was released to his father with a signed promise to appear in court.

• Officers responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute at a 7th Street residence. Upon arriving, they spoke with a woman, 45, who reported that her son was unruly and put his hands around her neck during an argument. The son, 14, told police the dispute was over turning on an air conditioner because his bedroom was too hot. The mother did not want to pursue charges and after police determined both parties had calmed down, they informed the mother of the process to file charges in the event of future incidents.

• Police arrested a North Canton man during a traffic stop near the intersection of Portage Street and Pittsburg Avenue on charges of driving under the influence, improper operation of signal lights, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle at a red light and had a plastic bag containing drugs and a glass pipe in his possession.

• A Canton man, 32, was arrested at a Hillcrest Avenue residence on a charge of domestic violence knowingly causing harm. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 43, at a South Main Street residence on an outstanding warrant as well as a charge of possession of drugs. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a Canton Police Department officer.

• A Lynbrook Street boy, 16, was with his mother when she failed to return him to his father, who has custody of the boy. The mother was charged with interference with custody, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• Officers responded to a call from a Sheraton Drive residence reading a man, 25, who was reportedly intoxicated and under a large amount of stress, causing him to make comments about wanting to harm himself. Police contacted the man, who agreed to be transported to a local medical facility for evaluation.

• A Louisville man, 50, was arrested at a Cleveland Avenue location on charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, eluding an officer and reckless operation. The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

• Police arrested a Uniontown man, 19, at a North Main Street location on  charge of criminal damaging or endangering. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• A Wise Avenue woman, 36, reported that an unknown suspect signed a credit card receipt in her name to purchase pizzas in the amount of $30.55. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Canton woman, 52, on an outstanding warrant for grand theft. The suspect was taken into custody at a South Main Street location and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• Officers responded to a call from a Pittsburg Avenue business for a report of a belligerent customer. On the scene, the officers spoke with the individual, a 33-year-old Alliance man, who said he asked for help when his card would not work with an ATM. The cashier was unable to help, causing the man to become upset. Police informed the man that he was no longer welcome at the business and advised the business to contact police if the man returned.
