Candlelight Walk

Stroll amongst luminarias and lovely architecture and enjoy musical entertainment and eight of the downtown historic churches during the Massillon Community Candlelight Walk at 5 p.m. Dec. 3. Carolers will sing on the steps of Massillon Public Library. The Massillon Museum will add a historic highlight and the Five Oaks Mansion will be open for guests.

The Nutcracker

New York City Ballet dancers will perform the leading roles in Canton Ballet’s sparkling holiday showpiece "The Nutcracker" in four performances December 8-10 at the Canton Palace Theatre. NYCB principal dancers Sterling Hyltin and Canton Ballet alumnus Zachary Catazaro, a Hoover High School graduate, will dance the leading roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier in all performances. This is a rare opportunity for Stark County audiences to see performing members of America’s premiere ballet company here at home. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 7:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 2 p.m. Dec. 10. Admission is $21-25 for adults and $17-19 for children.  There is a discount for groups of 15 or more. Gifts of Fate

Canton Symphony Orchestra's Gifts of Fate will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3. Based on the true Canton Story "A Secret Gift" with original music only heard in Canton by a local composer and featuring local actors and chorus with a world-class symphony.
