• Police arrested an Akron girl, 15, at a Chadford Gate residence on a charge of possession of drugs. The suspect was detained, issued a summons to appear in court and released to her mother.

• A Pershing Avenue boy, 15, was arrested on a charge of unruly juvenile offenses by way of being habitually disobedient. The suspect was brought to the police station by his father and after being charged, also left with his father.

• A Peppergrass Drive man, 72, reported that an unknown suspect broke into his home and stole a firearm. The victim reported the theft of a Smith and Wesson pistol and also, damage to his sliding glass door. An investigation is pending.

• An employee at a North Main Street business reported that an unknown suspect attempted to steal merchandise from the area containing liquor at the business. An investigation is pending.

• A Jonathan Avenue man, 24, was arrested at his residence on a charge of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody, issued a summons to appear in Canton Municipal Court and released on the scene.

• A Beechwood Avenue boy, 16, reported that an unknown suspect stole his cell phone during school hours at Hoover High School. The boy reported that the phone was stolen while he and two other students served in-school suspensions.

• Officers responded to a call from a Browning Avenue residence regarding a sick animal. The residents showed officers a sick, lethargic raccoon and after determining the animal was too ill, the officer dispatched the animal with two shots from his service weapon.

• Two officers responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute at a South Main Street residence. A neighbor reported the dispute and the female resident told police she was missing $900 and believed the male resident had taken it. Two other females at the residence reported that the woman had become overly aggressive and after speaking with officers, the male resident left the premises and was advised not to return.

• A Canton woman, 40, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Cuyahoga Falls for driving under a suspense license. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a Cuyahoga Falls officer.

• Police arrested a Uniontown man, 24, at a North Main Street residence on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. The suspect was taken into custody and released at the scene with a summons to appear in court.

• A Pershing Avenue man 39, reported that his juvenile son was not at home for hours on end and was disobedient. Police were able to locate the son, who was taken into custody and charged with unruly juvenile offenses.

• A North Main Street man, 42, reported that a known suspect used his Facebook account to send messages posing as the victim. The man told police his ex-girlfriend accessed his account and used it to send messages to his current girlfriend while posing as him. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Louisville woman, 21, at a North Main Street business on a charge of theft without consent. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• A Canton man, 21, was arrested near the intersection of Everhard Road and Main Street and charged with possession of drugs. Officers issued the man a summons to appear in court and released him at the scene.
