NORTH CANTON Three town halls have been scheduled this month for North Canton City School District residents to learn more about the district's bond issue and earned income tax levy request.
The town halls will be held on:
– 7 p.m. Monday at the Early Childhood Center at 301 Portage St. NW;
– 8 a.m. Tuesday at Acme Fresh Market at 1474 N. Main St.
– 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Greentown Intermediate School at 3330 State St. NW.
Issue 44, which will appear on the Nov. 7 ballot, seeks a 3.99-mill bond issue and 0.75 percent school district earned income tax that will pay for the district's share of a multi-million facilities project and help boost the district's operating revenue. The facilities project includes renovations to Hoover High School, construction of a new middle school and the consolidation of the district's elementary and intermediate schools into two preschool through grade 5 buildings.
