The Ramsburg Insurance & Financial Services Agency recently held an appreciation luncheon for all local community first responders in Uniontown.

Police and fire personnel from Uniontown, Hartville, Marlboro, Mogadore and Greentown were invited, along with Lake Township trustees, Lake Township Road Department, Hartville Mayor Cindy Billings, Lake Chamber of Commerce president and principals and superintendents from Lake Local Schools and Lake Center Christian.

The parking lot was transformed into an outdoor restaurant with a large tent, tables, pumpkins and mums. A barbecue with all the fixings was provided by "Big Don’s Barbecue" food truck for the free event.

The Ramsburg agency also pledged to donate $10 to the Uniontown Police Sgt. David White Fund for every first responder who attended. White, who was in attendance, was shot four times while responding to a domestic incident in July. White survived and was released from the hospital after three weeks. He has about a year of recovery ahead of him before he can return to work.

The Ramsburg Agency was presented with the Uniontown Police Department 2017 Chief’s Award for its support and dedication to the department, its officers and employees.
