• Police arrested a Peachtree Avenue SW girl, 17, near the intersection of Everhard Road and Wilkshire Circle on a charge of possession of drugs. The suspect was taken into custody and released with a signed promise to appear in court.

• A North Canton man was arrested during a traffic stop for driving while under the influence. The suspect was initially stopped for speeding and after investigation, the officer determined him to be impaired. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• An employee at a South Main Street business reported that an unknown suspect damaged the property using a firearm and also stole items. Three windows were found to be damaged by shots from a small-caliber firearm. An investigation is pending.

• A New Philadelphia woman, 48, reported that a known suspect took her vehicle from a Bel Air Drive location and used it without permission. An investigation is pending.

• An employee at a Whipple Avenue business reported that an unknown suspect stole his vehicle while he was at work. The car, a burgundy Ford Fusion, was reported missing and an investigation is pending.

• An officer met with an administrator at Hoover High School who reported a container of e-cigarettes, lighters, chewing tobacco and other confiscated items that needed to be destroyed. The container was taken to the police department and documented for destruction.

• A North Main Street woman, 42, reported that an unknown suspect left a non-threatening, unwanted voice message on her phone. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 60, at an Applegrove Street location on an outstanding warrant from Canton. The suspect was taken into custody on trespassing charges and turned over to a Canton Police officer.

• A Knoll Street SE man, 52, reported that a known suspect removed his vehicle from his driveway. The car, a blue Nissan, was attached to a trailer and the total estimated value of the items was $8,000. However, prosecution was declined.

• Police arrested a Bel Air Drive man, 50, on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. The suspect was taken into custody and turned over to a New Philadelphia Police officer

• A Dalton man, 44, was arrested near the intersection of 9th Street and North Main on a charge of possession of drugs. The suspect was taken into custody, issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• Police arrested a Lorena Street SW man, 46, on misdemeanor charge of failure to obtain a zoning certificate, lack of required setback from a building and exceeding the maximum area of an accessory building or structure. The suspect was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.

• A Sheraton Drive NW man, 32, was arrested at his residence on a charge of domestic violence knowingly causing physical harm to the victim. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• An employee at a Main Street church reported that an unknown suspect used spray paint and a cutting tool to cause damage to church property. The suspect painted the church’s main sign and cut up two banners during the night. An investigation is pending.

• A South Main Street business reported damage done by an unknown suspect using spray paint. The suspect used paint to damage the businesses' sign. An investigation is pending.
