Football and art
The Field Day Football & Art Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Canton Museum of Art in downtown Canton. It’s a unique outdoor family event and the Aultcare Family Field Day combines the Hall of Fame City’s love for football and art with interactive exhibits, live entertainment, kids’ activities, sporting events, marching bands, food trucks and much more. Flea and farmers markets
The Downtown Canton Flea Market is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 16, rain or shine. Bring the whole family for a day of flea market shopping with more than 50 vendors offering art, crafts, handmade goods and much more all in downtown Canton. Also, there is still time to shop at local farmers markets, as the ones in Massillon, downtown Canton and North Canton are open Saturday mornings starting at 8 a.m. the farmers market at Jackson's North Park is open every Thursday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. All are open through the first week of October.
Bands of America competition
The Pro Football Hall of Fame will host Bands of America Regional Championship, an all day event on Sept. 16, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village. This highly anticipated event will bring 18 bands from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois and Indiana to perform and compete.
