• Police arrested a Ravenna man at a Cheswold Circle location on charges of possession of drug abuse instruments, receiving stolen property and driving under a DUI suspension. The suspect was pulled over and determined to have operated a stolen vehicle with a suspended license and with drug abuse instruments in the vehicle. He was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Wilbur Drive NE woman, 19, reported that a known suspect physically assaulted and choked her. The suspect, a North Canton man, was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A North Canton man was arrested during a traffic stop after being pulled over for a traffic violation and found to have drugs and drug paraphernalia in the car. The suspect was charged with possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under a suspended license.

• Police arrested a Canton woman, 28, at a Market Avenue North location on an outstanding warrant from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was wanted for operating a vehicle while impaired and failing to appear in court and was turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• A North Canton man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence knowingly causing harm to the victim. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• Police arrested a North Canton man who was pulled over for driving with a suspended license and found to have an active warrant out from Jackson Township. While taking the suspect into custody, an officer conducted a pat down which identified a clear plastic baggie with drugs instead and a blue and white glass bowl also with drugs inside. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• Officers responded to a call regarding a Pear Court NE woman, 23, who fled to a neighboring apartment following a dispute with her boyfriend. The woman reported that her boyfriend has a gun but she did not know its location. Upon arrival, officers determined that no gun was involved in the incident and the woman told them she exited a vehicle during an argument and sustained two small scrapes. The boyfriend reported trying to hug the woman to calm her down, at which point she fled and called police. No charges were filed.

• A Briar Avenue NE woman, 19, reported that a video game console with $500 was missing after a friend left her residence. The friend had been staying at the residence for several weeks and the woman suspected the friend may have taken the item. An investigation is pending.

• An employee at a Pittsburg Avenue business reported that an unidentified female suspect removed a Slim Jim product from store shelves and exited the store without paying for the item. The woman was arrested and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

• A Wise Avenue woman, 52, reported that a known individual entered her residence uninvited and removed a dog whose ownership is disputed. An investigation is pending.

• An Everhard Road man, 22, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was wanted to failure to appear in court and was taken into custody at a South Main Street residence before being turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

• An employee at a Pittsburg Avenue business reported that an unknown suspect stole candy, doughnuts and orange juice from store shelves and exited without paying for the items. An investigation is pending.

• Police arrested a Canton man, 25, at a North Main Street location on a charge of theft without consent. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Canton man, 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on a charge of theft without consent. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Stark County Jail.

• A Massillon man, 29, was arrested at a South Main Street residence on an outstanding warrant and was also charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
