The Hoover Historical Society will host outdoor storytelling at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 and Aug. 8. Children’s librarians will present interactive stories on the patio adjacent to the Hoover Hall in Hoover Park. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments served after the story.
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons tribute
Lights Out, a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons Tribute band, will perform at the Lions Lincoln Theatre in Massillon at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4. Lights Out is a four part vocal group that is being hailed as America’s No. 1 tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. This popular multi-talented group has been entertaining audiences for years by focusing on the art of harmony. The group began as four friends who enjoyed singing while attending college and the group now tours the country with their tribute show.
Drum corps competition
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Drum Corps International Competition will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7. This amazing event is held every year at the Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. This year’s performing bands include Canton's own Bluecoats, Boston Crusaders (Boston, Mass.), The Cadets (Allentown, Pa.), Carolina Crown (Ft. Mill, S.C.), The Cavaliers (Rosemont, Ill.), Crossmen (San Antonio, Texas), Phantom Regiment (Rockford, Ill.) and Santa Clara Vanguard (Santa Clara, Calif.)
