JACKSON TWP.  The annual Touch-a-Truck at Buehler’s Fresh Foods in Jackson Township in the Nobles Pond plaza parking lot drew kids and adults alike June 17. There were kids trying out the driver’s seat and the horns on many of the vehicles throughout the morning and early afternoon.

The back end of the parking lot offered a variety of large vehicles that kids and adults could climb up on and take a seat at the driver’s controls. There were giant earth moving vehicles. Jackson Township had several of its emergency vehicles parked and there were a couple of semi-trucks including one with a trailer. The MAPS Museum parked a military helicopter and the pet rescue truck and trailer was open for inspection.

The event is meant to fulfill the curiosity of kids and adults who pass by these vehicles every day and wonder what it would be like to sit in one.
