Jackson Township Trustees and the township's Parks and Recreation Department invite area residents to North Park beginning at 6 p.m. Friday for a Movie Night and Family Fun Day. Smitty's Concessions will arrive at 6 p.m. and then cornhole, volleyball and kick ball games will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. At dark, the Disney movie "Moana," which is about an adventurous teenager who sails on a daring mission to save her people. During the journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her on her quest.
Tigertown Kick-off Classic
Girls fastpitch softball teams in the 10 and uner, 12 and undeer and 14 and under age groups will be squaring off at Genshaft Memorial Park, 2801 Erie St. SE, for the Tigertown Kick-off Classic starting at 4 p.m. June 4.
Jackson Township kicks off its Farmer’s Market season from 3 to 6 p.m., June 8. It will be open every Thursday afternoon through Oct. 5 at Jackson’s North Park on Fulton Road.
Massillon Famer’s Market season begins from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Massillon Recreation Center parking lot. It is open every Saturday morning though October. The recreation center is at 505 Erie St. N.
Canton Blues Fest
