Walsh University on Friday hoisted the last construction beam into place for its Global Learning Center. The center is set to be completed in January.
NORTH CANTON Walsh University marked the end of the first building phase of its Global Learning Center Friday with students, faculty and alumni gathering to sign the center's final construction beam.
The 26-foot, 950-pound beam was hoisted into place just after 1 p.m. The Global Learning Center is being built along E. Maple Street.
Scheduled to be completed in January 2018, the Global Learning Center will allow students to study alongside peers in locations around the world. The center will include a digital media lab, computer engineering lab and expanded career services.
