HARTVILLE Discussion over hiring a company to rebuild the village website, an issue Mayor Cynthia Billings said is becoming increasingly necessary, continued at the March 21 village council meeting.
Billings presented council members with quotes from three companies to rebuild the site, which she described as very outdated. Costs associated with the upgrades range between $2,550 and $8,000, the mayor said.
"But we can’t add anything (to the site) or take off outdated information, and some files will not load," she said.
Councilwoman Bev Green said she would like to discuss the quotes in a finance committee meeting before council approves any expenditure. The website issue was added to the next finance committee meeting March 30 at village hall.
The issue of putting no-parking signs on roads in the Indian Village allotment was added to the March 30 streets and drainage committee meeting as well.
Billings said the police department has received a number of complaints from residents of cars parking on both sides of the road and Police Chief Larry Dordea said the situation could make emergency vehicle access difficult.
Dordea added that police could begin ticketing cars if no-parking signs were in place.
