LAKE TWP.  The Lake Local Schools Board of Education discussed naming the new and existing buildings during a work session held just before the regular board meeting.

Superintendent Kevin Tobin suggested that a decision be made on naming the new and existing buildings before the end of the school year. Some board members suggested naming all of the buildings Lake Schools and some suggested keeping the Uniontown and Hartville names and possibly adding Lake to the name.

A few examples mentioned included Uniontown Lake Elementary and Hartville Lake Elementary. Naming the high school was also discussed. The high school will become a 7-12 building and, as such, Lake Secondary School or Lake Junior Senior were suggested names for the high school.

Tobin said he will do more research and get community feedback before coming to the board with recommendations.
