A problem with Hoover Hall's theater batten/curtain system injured two students at a dress rehearsal Wednesday.

NORTH CANTON  The show will go on following a mishap at Hoover Hall Wednesday night.

A problem occurred with the theater's batten/curtain system during a dress rehearsal for Hoover High School's production of "Shrek the Musical." Two 12th-grade theater tech students were injured and transported to the hospital where they were both treated and released, according to a statement from North Canton City Schools.

Tiffin Scenic Studios — a theater design, manufacturing and installation company — inspected and certified that all the rigging used in the upcoming production is safe.

Hoover Principal Eric Bornstine met with the show's advisers, cast and crew who asked to continue the performance, according to the release.

"Shrek The Musical" opens at 7 p.m. tonight with additional shows at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12.
