A 30-year-old Lake Township man has been charged in connection to the Dec. 7 armed robbery at a Coventry Township skill games parlor.

John E. Richmond, of Canyon Street NW, was arrested Monday and faces a charge of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, for allegedly kicking open the front door of The Palms Skill Games, 2766 S. Arlington Road, with a semi-automatic handgun equipped with a laser sight. Richmond allegedly ordered all the patrons inside to remain seated and then told the cashier to give him cash or "people would be killed," according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office reports that the stolen cash and the handgun used in the robbery were recovered by detectives.

Richmond has been booked into the Summit County jail.
