A little country, a little Rock-n-Roll

The Lions Lincoln Theatre will celebrate Christmas this year with a pair of live shows - one for those who like classic country and the second who prefer 50s and 60s Rock-n-Roll at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Dec. 16. Bud Grabbe and the Roadrunners will perform a mix of classic country and Christmas favorites tonight. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. On Dec. 16, the Van-Dells, the nation's No. 1 Rock-n-Roll tribute show, will perform hits from the 50s and 60s, along with a Christmas twist. Ronnie Milsap at the Palace

Dusty Guitar presents Ronnie Milsap and "Hits and Holiday Favorites" at the Canton Palace Theatre 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15. Ronnie Milsap ranks as the pre-eminent country soul singer of his generation. Early in his life while steeped in the mountain music of the North Carolina hills and schooled in classical piano, he found inspiration in a wide variety of music. He mastered Beethoven and Mozart but his heart belonged to hardcore country and rhythm-and-blues - music he heard beamed from powerful radio stations located in Nashville. Vinter's Dinner at Maize Valley

The Canton Palace Theatre has a showing of everyone’s favorite holiday movie, "National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation." Be prepared to laugh out loud at the Griswold’s big family holiday gathering. Movie starts at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Big Band Christmas

Step out a few days before Christmas Day for a grand show at the Canton Palace Theatre. The Big Band Christmas Show featuring the Latshaw Pops Orchestra, Singers and Dancers starts at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m. on Dec. 18. Celebrate the holiday season with this heartwarming variety show.

'A Christmas Carol' returns

The Players Guild Theatre will perform the holiday tradition, "A Christmas Carol" through Dec. 18 at the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave. N, Canton. Shows will be held at 8 p.m. on Fridays, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
