NORTH CANTON The sixth annual North Canton Fall Fest was filled with super heroes, witches, bats and spooky good fun. The event is held each year at Grace United Methodist Church and is coordinated by Evie Riegler to provide a safe place for local kids to go trick or treating.
Riegler said there are usually more than 200 kids accompanied by parents, grandparents or even great grandparents.
"The families and kids have a lot of fun," she said. "It’s a free event where local businesses come in and setup tables and handout treats for the kids."
Irish dancers from A Time to Dance studio provided the entertainment and Bill and Mary’s Diner offered sandwiches and beverages for sale. The Plain Township Fire Department, the North Canton Police Department and the Stark County Sherriff Safe Communities Coalition were all on hand to give out treats.
"Everyone who attends and hands out treats really enjoy the kids in their costumes and everyone is always excited and happy to be at the event," Riegler said.
