More than 50 Walsh University alumni returned to campus as a part of the annual Professor for a Day program held on January 29 and 30. Each year, Walsh graduates visit their former classrooms as professionals to share their real-world experiences in their chosen field.
The successful Professor for a Day program was organized to provide students with a different perspective on career options and open the doors to guest lecturers.
The event has grown each year as more Walsh professors are requesting alumni to present in their classrooms. Walsh alumni are paired with a course that directly corresponds with their career. As guest lecturers, they speak candidly to students about various topics including the responsibilities of their job, what they do on a day to day basis and how their careers developed.
Graduates from education, nursing, accounting, business and English are among the participants in the 2013 Professor for a Day event.
